Review on 🐠 Tetra EasyBalance Plus: Premium Water Conditioner for Weekly Freshwater Aquarium Maintenance by Rachel Mitchell

I was really looking forward to this product as it helps me recycle the waste my guppies produce. I think this product would be good if I didn't have the mysterious snail. After the first use I noticed my normally very active snail was slowing down and I thought it was dead. After a water change I put on an anti-stress blanket and my snail started moving again. I used the product again after about a week (not knowing it was the culprit) and the same thing happened. I have noticed that my snail has developed cracks in the shell which is a sign of calcium deficiency. Since my snail has been with me for 4 months with no problems, this product seems to remove very useful vitamins from the water for my invertebrates. I stopped using this product and added shell minerals and my snail felt better and started to heal. I know people who have freshwater tanks that use this product with no problems. I only highly recommend using cleansing bacteria instead if you have snails, shrimp, or crayfish. my other basic feeders (catfish/algae eaters) were not affected.
