First time using glass containers

This item is exactly as shown, with ten glass containers each with its own matching lid.All these years we've been using plastic. While we try to make sure everything is BPA free, we just don't know for sure how truthful the labels are.Husband finally decided to give glass containers a try.The difference right away is that these take up more room in our container drawer. With the plastic containers, we made sure they were the same size and all stackable. With this set, we got three different shapes, so three different stacks, and each of the 10 containers are unique in size. The glass itself is thick and sturdy. The lid is nice also. The seal definitely is tight, as sometimes I had to tug at it in order to get the suction to let go. Happy about that. The rubber sealing band sometimes slips out, though, and that takes a bit of time to put back in.The advantage of using glass containers is that it can be heated directly after having been stored in the fridge. So far no problem with washing these in the dishwasher. Will have to see how well the rubber sealing bands hold up with repeated wash and use.So far so good.
