3M used to be an excellent product that has been used many times. I set them up the way I did many years ago. Two days later, the plastic fell off the door walls. I didn't keep the boxes because that was over. So how do you return without a box and tape on the frame? Revain made it very difficult to contact the seller to resolve the issues. I don't know if the boys were old, but they didn't survive the mild weather. Very disappointed.

Plastic window coverings can help reduce drafts and heat loss from single glazed windows/doors. The tape they provide works well around windows. For something as large as a sliding glass door, especially when installing plastic on the outside, I prefer 2 inch carpet tape. This year I built a wood frame around a sliding glass door and attached plastic to it. Go over it with a heat gun or hair dryer to make it shrink. I didn't buy this for a door but for double windows larger than the 3M window pack. This product has worked brilliantly over the winter months! I wasn't expecting it to stay flat as it's normal for the plastic to turn into a large bubble as air pressure increases, so I left some slack when applying. It was a life saver. My apartment is completely crammed with jacks. The bedroom window was originally not properly framed. I got houseflies because my ferrets were attracted to them and because there was no barrier. Last year we bought product #M because we had previously bought another branded product that didn't stick at all. It worked like magic last year. I'm very angry. I have been using a 3M brand exterior window insulation kit for a number of years. A few years ago one of the film sets was cut down and I was able to return it to Home Depot. FWIW, the seller thought I might have a problem peeling off the last layer of foil. Although I assured him I was not inexperienced, I let him try. The film was defective and I left with a good set.
