Vintage Victorian Men'S Steampunk Tailcoat – Perfect For Medieval And Colonial Costumes Review

Used this jacket for a costume in a play. It was perfect! I was a little worried about the fit since a lot of reviews said it ran small, so I ordered a med, large & extra large. (With free shipping and free returns, how could I lose?) the medium was fine for me (but then I am a woman vs a man.) I had looked at the size chart, and it ran pretty true to what I got.

Bought this for my husband’s Sgt. Pepper Halloween costume and it works! He’s usually an XL, 6’2” 220 lbs and has a very athletic shape. Bought size XXL because reviews said it ran small. The XXL fit him! Like most clothes, this is slightly snug on his shoulders and too big for his middle. But the coat is long enough! So this is a great option for tall guys! Overall very pleased! Might tailor the waist a bit myself if I’m feeling sassy.

This is a decent coat for a costume, but it is somewhat cheaply made. There aren't any real button holes and the material is very thin. The person I bought this for usually wears a men's size Medium or Large and we had to get the 3xl, so sizing is definitely small.

First I purchased XL I'm 5'10" 190 lbs athletic build. Fit but not super muscular. Wear a gauze 44R jacket and it fit perfect! The quality is impressive for the price. I would have expected to pay over $100 for this. I recieved multiple compliments on this jacket. Used as part of pirate costume. Would highly recommend. It doesn't stretch but has lining and looks and feels like high quality.

The fit is terrible. I’m 5’11; 240 — athletic build (but not a lifter or runner) and I usually wear a L-XL and after reading the reviews I bought a XXXL and the arms are extremely tight and so are the shoulders. Where the sleeves connect at the shoulders is too small, everywhere else was good but that makes it unwearable unfortunately.

This is a very nice coat for the price.BUT BEWARE! It runs about 2 or maybe even 3 sizes too small! My husband wears a size large and the XL was beyond funny! I am returning and ordering an XXXL! It has real pockets and nice buttons and material but no button slots. We are going to make slots so it can be buttoned. It is nicely lined and for the price.It is actually a nice little coat! Especially for a halloween pirate! lol

The jacket was thinner material than I was expecting but that made it easier to wear in the warmer months. Would need a real coat if planning for winter wear. Received a ton of compliments and really pulled my Aaron Burr look together.

I bought the jacket as a part of a costume and when I threw it on, it was way too small I usually wear a 2XL I ordered a 3XL because its a jacket, dont order this if your a big guy.

I wear an XL/XXL women's. Because I assumed this was more "costume quality," I chose a 3X men's, thinking it would be a bit oversized to wear with leggings and boots for a theatre event this weekend. It should have been too big. It is tight across the shoulders and stomach, and although the top layer of fabric has button holes, the lining does not. I don't have time to wait for a replacement, so I'm going to have to have someone adjust it for me.

I wear a 3x so I ordered a 3x it would go around my shoulders my arms would not go through. Size are way off. Thanks for attention.

The material is thin and cheap, which is fine considering the price. The bigger issue is that the jacket is extremely ill fitting. I normally wear a medium or large. I ordered XXL based on the reviews, but even that is very tight in the shoulders and biceps to the point that I cannot raise my arms much. Everything else about the jacket is a little big on me though, so I think it's just an issue of how the sleeves are constructed regardless of what size you get

This coat is being used as part of a TARDIS costume. The color is just right and it's nicely lined. Definitely runs quite small. Would normally wear a men's large and ordered XXL but the shoulders / upper arms are still tight and restrict movement somewhat. As other reviewers have mentioned, the buttonholes are for show - you can't really close the coat. The pockets are real though which is a bonus. Instructions say hand wash, hang dry. This was suppose to be my boyfriends Halloween costume he’s an XL or L in men. I ordered an XL for him it came in and realized it looks too small I tried it on and it fit like a woman’s medium.

I'm 5'7 with broad chest and shoulders due to muscle building. I normally wear large size tops. Took the size warnings to heart and ordered a size up, XL. It was too tight everywhere. So, I ordered a XXL.still tight in the shoulders but fine across the chest.

So i ordered all 3 colors. Out of large so i ordered 2 in XL and one in XXL I’m a 40L jacket size and these things are massive. So but the blue one came with no lining and no pockets just a fake flap, and the cream and black with lining and real pockets so my guess is all of these are coming from different makers and the sizes vary. Had i have known i would have gotten medium. The tailoring cost me double on them what the actual coat cost. They look really great. I find it bizarre to put so…

I ordered 3xl , even though I am a 2xl via USA sizing charts as well as sizing charts provided on amazon when ordering. The tag had been cut out of the item, which leads me to believe that I did not receive a 3xl size. Otherwise, it is a beautiful coat as represented in the add. The shouldersAnd sleeves are especially tight.

If you have broad shoulders don’t buy. My husband is 6’1 185lbs and has very wide shoulders the jacket still fit but was uncomfortable when moving

Overpriced.Overall it looks OK but it's not justifys it's pricing.I ordered 3xl but still a little tight in my arms.If you have a thin body you'll be fine with it.
