Review on Original Engine Management ILC129 Ignition by Raymond Iglesias

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The fit and finish is poor and the one I received didn't even fit.

Read the description carefully and you will see that this is not a genuine OEM part. In fact, OEM is just the name of the company "Original Equipment Management". Again, this is not an original equipment part, which is not stated in the description. The fit and finish is poor, and the one I got didn't even fit all the way into the steering column, leaving an awful gap of nearly half a meter. Centimeters between the edge and the steering column. It also prevented it from fully engaging. Stick with Motocraft or go to a real parts store. Avoid this at all costs. This part is easy to replace but I still spent an hour pressing it into place thinking it should fit and that I did something wrong. No, that's just junk. I didn't realize that I had been fooled by the misleading name until I looked at the box and noticed the company name and Made in Taiwan. Not to mention that quality parts can't come from China and Taiwan, but this definitely wasn't one of them.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
