After reading many reviews on this product I figured I had a 50/50 chance. It turns out it's a waste of money. I didn't even have time to vacuum the kitchen floor (on the bare floor) when I smelled the belt. I vacuumed for about a minute more and the smell was so awful I couldn't take it anymore. When I removed the lid, smoke hit my face. I didn't even have to use the carpet/brushroll setting. With the second belt, I decided to vacuum the carpet first, knowing the belt might not hold up. I wasn't even halfway through the 5X9 mat and the belt started smelling. Even after installing the adjustment on a bare floor and trying to vacuum the tiles, the roller went out of control. Please don't waste your money on these belts.
