If you've ever tried putting on a Type-R belt, you know how tight they are and how tight they are, they're difficult to put on. These belts literally slip easily because they don't have enough tension for the engine to do its job. You may smell a burning odor as the belt is just rubbing and not spinning due to the loose tension.

"Boss" just fitted to my Eureka, fits perfectly and doesn't slip when vacuuming on a low pile setting. Significantly more durable than the OEM plastic straps I bought from Eureka as the original strap broke after about ten years of heavy use. It appears to be about twice as thick (50 mils) and made of a different material. More like the original belt that lasted so long.

I installed one of these straps on my Eureka to match the type R strap. The whisk did not spin on the carpet. I tried the second strap that came with the kit. The whipping brush still wasn't spinning on the carpet. I then disassembled the vacuum to make sure the belt tensioner was ok. Still couldn't get the vacuum to work. In a nutshell - these straps are cheaper than name brand products and work great. I've waited until I've used the first strap a few times before responding, but so far it's working well. (It comes in two packages and the other looks identical so I assume it will work the same way). The strap does not slip, easy to assemble, true to size of the original but does not stretch. After reading many reviews on this product I figured I had a 50/50 chance. It turns out it's a waste of money. I didn't even have time to vacuum the kitchen floor (on the bare floor) when I smelled the belt. I vacuumed for about a minute more and the smell was so awful I couldn't take it anymore. My problem is with the product not the seller! I also had a problem with the wrong belt size. . I also checked the part number, style and model of the vacuum and everything was correct and matched the label on the plastic bag they came in.
