I have a 2 year old poodle who suffers from extreme separation anxiety and keeps barking for hours when left alone. I've tried so many things but nothing helps him. After complaints and even threats from neighbors I had to take immediate action and this collar worked the first time. The instructions are simple, all you have to do is charge the device, select the sensitivity level and turn it on. The device itself is large for such a small dog, but doesn't feel too heavy or uncomfortable. I put it on him, put it in the room I kept him in when I went out, and pretended to leave. I immediately heard a whimper, which is typical. A few minutes later, his restless barking began. He barked once, then the device beeped and vibrated, shocking him with static electricity. It didn't hurt him, but it was so annoying that as far as I can tell he stopped barking anyway. My neighbors were angry at his barking so I'm sure they would have said something if he had kept barking. Now I use this collar every time I have to leave him alone. He doesn't like it when I put it on him because he knows it means I'm leaving, but it works. Again, I understand that not everything will work the same for every dog, but as a person who was at the end of their tether, this was the answer to my barking problem.
