Review on 💈 MEIJI Emperor Adjustable Safety Razor by VIKINGS BLADE by Rachel Riley

Well it feels fantastic in the hand. Unfortunately, the moment you really want to use it, its quirks show themselves. Apparently I'm spoiled. I'm used to TTO where you just open the doors, drop the blade, close the door and shave. However, this is not possible with this TTO. You need to open the doors, turn the dial to 8, then PUSH the blade on the center post, and then HOPEFULLY close the doors slowly. If you set it above 8, good luck closing the doors without the blade catching. If you close the doors too quickly, it's good that the blades don't get caught on the doors. If you don't latch the blade on the B-pillar (though by the way it's happy to pop out when you close the doors), good luck closing the doors without the blades snagging. If your scales are too low, you won't even be able to insert a blade, as the doors gradually close as you pull them down and open wider as you pull them in. loosen it and open the door a little, adjust it and then tighten it again, otherwise the knob may loosen and you risk it coming off during shaving. I also noticed that the blade alignment is questionable as I had to fiddle with it as there were more blades exposed on one side compared to the other. This article is NOT for beginners. It's SUPER picky. i want you to like it Its weight is comfortable and stunning to look at. The finish is good although I did have a few minor blemishes where the finish was thin as you could see the silver where it was rubbed through/cut, fresh out of the post. Well shaved the first time. I got better, I got worse, although maybe I just need more time for it. New shaver and all so need more time to rate it there. Would I buy it again? Ehhhh. How is it at this moment? Probably no. I was going to pick the Augustus Edition next as it looks amazing, but based on my experience with it I might have to give it up at some point. The time will show. This is a very sophisticated razor. I should be able to just open the doors, drop the blade, close the doors and leave. Maybe I've just been unlucky, but first impressions count and so far I've found the Meiji Edition to be a disappointment.
