I tested it with 32 ink pads that were completely dry and in most cases the dry stamping doesn't work. Most of these ink pads were bought in the 1990s. When the ink pad was so dry that the pad itself shrank like a dried sponge, it didn't work, but all other levels of "drying" came back to life with varying degrees of the original color. Of the 32 stamp pads, all but 5 worked within 5 minutes. The stuff in the bottle is dry, oily, so make sure you protect your surfaces before sterilizing. I would recommend this to anyone and it has saved me hundreds of dollars on a new cube. Pads for less than $10. I recommend trying this out before you go out and buy new ones.
