When I started hiking years ago, I didn't even have a hiking pole. Over time I decided it would be nice to have it with me whether I used it or not. Fast forward 40 years and now I have to use 2 sticks for balance from time to time. My old hiking poles are non-adjustable ski poles, and I have to carry them in my hands even where poles aren't needed. These sticks are one such improvement. They're lightweight, adjustable, and easily clip to my pack when I'm walking on flat terrain. I no longer go hiking without these poles. I have two other uses for these sticks. My tent has holes for support over the doorway and they should be fine with that. I will also tie my shortest and smallest fishing net to one of these poles for extra access. Great design and I look forward to using them soon.
