Review on Liberty Pumps 237 Discharge Submersible by Daniel Icyblue

I have just installed this pump but like many others it is very quiet and I have a lift height of 1.50m and have had no problem emptying the sump in less than 30 seconds! It's been raining here for the last 2 days and I had to check if the pump was working because I couldn't see it from more than 10 feet! I chose this model over the 257 because I will be dry in the summer months and the cast iron body bothered me. Can't comment on durability, but even if it only lasts 5 years, it costs $30 more compared to cheap big box pumps. UPDATE: It's been over a year now and I'm thankful for this pump. We were close to flooding last summer and then again in December. To give you an idea, they opened the dam three times last year! They have only opened it 9 times in the last 60 years! We once had 9 inches of rain! This pump was amazing! It was moving and stuck in one place when I went down to check it was hot but cut off. As soon as I added some water, everything worked immediately. UPDATE: June 2016 Another year, another record flood. So this spring, this pump was tested again with 12 inches of rain in two days! We had no power for about 3 hours and I opened up my crawl space to find 4-5 inches of water in 3 hours. When the power came back he worked 6 straight hours to drain all the water and didn't bat an eyelid. I even attached a 50ft drain hose to direct the water away from the house and it was no problem! I am so happy I bought this pump and look forward to many more years of great service! UPDATE: August 2017, another rainy spring and no problems! It's been 2 1/2 years and the pump still works great! I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this pump. In fact, I'm ordering another one for my rental property in Wisconsin. It has been very well tested at my home in Missouri for the last 2 1/2 years! From several months of drought in summer to incessant rains and floods in winter and spring. I never had a problem! In my humble opinion, Liberty pumps are as good as it gets!
