I am 79 years old, weigh 220, have wide feet (10 1/2 EEE) and reliable orthopedic insoles. Got my first pair 8 years ago with orthopedic insoles which I got then and still wear. I get 4 years from a pair so this is my 3rd, it's so nice to have a shoe that hasn't changed in design or size (so far, fingers crossed). Not cheap but durable enough to hold 2 or 3 pairs of cheaper shoes so it doesn't get more expensive over time. The velcro closure is light and secure, a must for my arthritic toes, but the shoe doesn't have a "medical" feel.
