I owned a previous version of this item for many years and it worked without a hitch. When I bought my recent replacement, everything seemed the same. Installation is easy and when it works it works just fine, but from what I can gather, please be aware, there is some type of bug that causes this doorbell to ring randomly and uncontrollably. I've had to unplug mine as it rings all day, randomly, without someone pushing the button. I tried various outlets in my house to no avail. My guess is it's 2.4 Ghz interfernece issue that is setting it off. I have no proof, but if you have numerous items connected to your wifi router, as most of us do these days, beware of a possible issue. Otherwise, it's does what it says at a great price point. Once this bug is fixed, it would be perfect.
