We had a lot of problems with our sewage treatment plant last year, our service company provided us with two of these capsules to get us started after a bad backup a few months ago. They eventually determined that too much organic matter was the cause and we were suffering from an associated bad smell. I was a bit surprised that the smell just went away just two or three days after washing one of them. We used another product but it didn't seem to work. There are no problems with this product yet. The packaging is small and easy to store, the capsules don't smell like the last product, they are marked with the month name, which is handy for tracking if you forgot. I love that you don't have to dose, just throw it down the toilet and flush, no mess, no hassle, most importantly no more poop smell!
