update almost 2 years: I'm still satisfied. Colors and brightness are still satisfactory. My projector started having other problems, which led me to experiment with replacing the entire unit with a cheap Chinese LED+LCD projector. The brightness and color of this brand new LED projector was pathetic compared to my BenQ with its almost two year old budget replacement bulb. I returned this projector and found a workaround for my outdated BenQ.3 monthly update: I'm still satisfied. The projection is still very bright. This lamp is the real deal. So far the quality of the lamp is comparable to the replaced original Osram lamp. First review: I installed a lamp in my BenQ HT4050 just a few days ago. The fit was identical to the OEM Osram bulb. My projector hasn't been this bright since I first installed it. The projector has been running for about 6 hours now and the parabolic reflector of the new lamp hasn't started bubbling like the last time I tried a cheap lightbulb. It appears that this lamp is still excellent value. I couldn't be happier. I will update this review when the lamp dies before 2000 hours.
