When only used in a live rock system, this is a good product for keeping bugs at bay while you're running a dry salt bug-fighting race. However, in a reef system, this product will not perform to the extent you would like. I took it according to the directions for about 4 months and the infection never went away. I continued to maintain pristine water quality by performing weekly water changes and continued to monitor normal phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and pH levels to ensure the parasite was not staying in the water due to poor water quality. Since I started dosing this product my bubble tip anemones have never been the same. Almost immediately they began to shrink and wander around the aquarium, only the most persistent of them surviving. My pallets and zoanthids also started dying from prolonged exposure to this product. So if you only have live rock I would recommend this product to keep parasites at bay while you use one of the three proven methods of killing Crytpocarion irritans (ick): copper, hyposalinity, or transfer to the aquarium. If you have a reef stay away as prolonged use will negatively affect your corals and eddies.
