I bought this model because it was cheaper than most. It works just as well as the base model that I had to replace when the switch on the handle stopped working. It has a slide switch which hopefully is more durable. It's a bit difficult to get the tips out of the pen. and the handle sticks up and gets in the way of our closet door so I have to take the tip out every time I use it. Of course, this model uses a very different type of spring than the standard springs, so I had to throw away the special springs I bought for my old one. but it comes with two standard brush heads, a plaque brush head with a small brush, and an orthodontic brush head that's only useful for people with braces. I use whitening tablets (not sure if they are effective but why not) but they don't taste very refreshing. They taste almost exactly like the buttery mints you used to buy in restaurants. Very cute. I add mouthwash to water and it is very beneficial in relation to mint. The device is supposed to turn off three times for just a millisecond so you know when to switch to a different "quadrant" of your mouth, but to be honest mine never seems to do this more than twice so I ignore it usually. All in all, it's still the same Waterpik I know and love, but it's not that easy to live with on my small bathroom vanity.
