I bought one of these as an upgrade to more professional Wi-Fi equipment and have generally been quite happy with it for the past two years. However, the 2.4 GHz wireless module failed a week ago. , not complete (since it would at least be easy to spot). Instead, it runs for about a minute or two, then drops to zero for about a minute, and then returns. If you have IOT devices trying again, great. If you have something like a security camera that's supposed to be sending data NOW, that means they're going offline somewhat randomly, probably when you need network access most. Since the warranty is one year, I am now faced with the dilemma of whether to spend another $300 on another device or just leave it as a 5GHz hotspot until Ubiquiti or other vendors come out with better products. WiFi 6. Great device, but on the rare occasion I wish I'd spent a little more for an extended warranty; It would pay off this time.
