Absolutely love the slide out feature which only reside on more expensive racks. I also believe the "claw" grip is more secure than the "straps" when attached to the cross bars. But, both front and rear ski racks do not sit on top of the OEM cross bars firmly. It does not sit squarely upright. It will sit slightly forward or slightly backwards but never square and upright in a 90-degree position. I believe this will be the same for the aero, oval, and oem Subaru Crosstrek crossbars. When driving, the wind and aerodynamics will force the boards, skis, and rack to eventually lean the snowboards and rack slightly backwards. With all that said, it still works, but looks odd and insecure.
