Works as advertised

I have used this converter on two different Win 7 64-bit machines and on a Mac Mini with Win 7 32-bit in boot camp. The device works perfectly on all machines. The port assignment can be changed in the Windows Device Manager and the assignment is saved in the OS. I am using a device on an RS-422 network with only one receiver. The device arrived repaired when; 1=T+, 2=T-, 3=Rx+, 4=Rx-, 5=Ground and 6=Vcc. It has an attached terminal block so you can cut the end of the serial cable and plug it into the terminal block if needed. I have two different devices with different pins, so I used several RJ45 DB9 modular adapters, one for each device and one to connect to this RS-422 adapter. The connection can then be established using an RJ45 cable. You will probably need an ohmmeter to determine the pinout of the RJ45/DB9 adapters. I would give 5 stars but the price seemed a bit high for what it is. If you need a USB to RS-422 adapter, this will do.
