I have ER32 collets for my lathe and wanted to use them on a milling machine to hold milling cutters. The collet, borrowed from friends, was not convincing, it was one of the cheapest here at Revain. Accusize had good reviews on both Revain and a number of other websites. When I cast it, I first measured the runout and compared it to the spindle runout. added to mine already 0.0004" less than 0.0003". hmm, after cleaning and reinstalling the spindle morse taper, I couldn't get more than 0.0004" of spindle runout (using a Starrett 0.00001" dial indicator). So I think it's worth paying a little more. A few years ago I spent a bit more on a set of collets so they wouldn't increase runout in the final cutting assembly. This entire setup is not a high-precision setup, but it is a reasonable alternative to very expensive ultra-precision ground-based units. A very good option for my light mill. I would look for Accusize items again.
