Review on Microscope Prepared Students Microscopic Demonstration Science Education by Kevin Mariappan

These slides have had mixed reviews from me. I don't think you should expect high quality for the price. I knew they were slides, but holding them in my hands I felt the sharpness of the edges. Having bought these for a 7 year old I have reservations about it. I noticed that there were no slides in three slots, but then I saw that they were placed at the end. The chutes were too long to fit the slots so their solution was to slide them at the end. I dug out the ends of the slots more until they matched. The labels are sloppy and some of them are already sticking out at the edges. I wrapped the labels with tape to solve this problem. It also makes it a bit more convenient to pull it out of the mount rather than grabbing by the raw sharp edge. The slides were dirty. I wiped each one down, but a few were smeared with glue that wouldn't wash off. Finally, the box has no hinge as shown in the picture. The top comes off easily and there is no latch to secure it. If dropped, the slides may fall out and break. I like the variety of slides and I hope my young scientist will like them too.
