Review on 🔊 Cerwin-Vega VPAS10 10-inch 2Ω 550W Max / 200W RMS Powered Active Subwoofer Enclosure with Bass Knob for Enhanced Bass Performance by Ruben Jamrock

I'll start this review by saying I'm not a fan of powered subwoofers. I prefer a separate amp and cabinet. I put one of these in the trunk of my '98 Cherokee. I didn't want a full size box because I use a Cherokee as a beach wagon. Things are thrown unsystematically into the background. But I needed bass. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality and the sound quality this baby makes. If you're expecting it to sound like a 10" in the box, then this subwoofer isn't for you. It doesn't have the real punch that a real boxed subwoofer does. But. It definitely adds that low kick, to get your system working. Seems well made. I love that it actually had connectors for all of your power/ground/remote inputs. Many powered subwoofers only give you one harness (that's how Rockville subs work) .Pretty easy to set up and configure.My only real issue was the sub woofer started barking at about 3/4 volume.It's not terrible could recall it with profit.But like I said if you're looking for a helmet.like good powerful bass you will be disappointed if you are looking for the best mid/bass range this fills the gap completely my cherokee beater sounds better now than my friend's new grand cherokee 1 star I take for the s horrible packaging. I received boxes of paper that were better packaged than this piece of electronics. But it's on Amazon, not Cerwin-Vega.
