Unlike other lights that sit over the aquarium on either side, it doesn't interfere, making it difficult to do anything in the aquarium without lowering it or falling in. The app works perfectly, so you can adjust the time and brightness according to the needs of your aquarium dwellers. It doesn't get as hot as other lamps, so it won't burn you if you need to move it.
