6 years mechanic. I love this product. I will definitely buy more if the need arises.

Excellent quality. It appears to be made from injection molded polymer. The durable waterproof silicone insert is NOT easy to tear: I used the tip of a small screwdriver to insert it with no tearing issues. When you insert the stylus, you'll hear a nice *click* of a secure connection. All you need to purchase to make a perfect, professional wire harness is heat shrink tubing to match your wire gauge and some dialect grease on your terminals to ensure there is no corrosion.
