Review on 🔌 GE C by GE BR30 Starter Kit Soft White, 2-Pack by Milagros Iser

Pick this one because Revain had a great deal: two bulbs plus a hub for less than the price of a bulb. There should be a lot on paper. GE product, great support documentation (and video) and customizable color temperature. Installation was a bit fiddly - a complicated on/off toggle had to be used to pair it with the hub. Luckily, there's a help video where you can easily switch to the screen timer. The C by GE app is very well written and I was able to integrate HomeKit and Alexa. Of the three control mechanisms, the GE app was probably the best, with Alexa skills coming second (HomeKit worked well, but color temperature settings were a bit more difficult to adjust). The packaging was well thought out and added to the experience. After turning it on, the firmware was out of date - it was a cumbersome process that required multiple attempts to update all the bulbs. That's why they're coming back: A powered hub kept going out, resulting in the bulbs being unable to communicate with an app, Alexa, or HomeKit — and staying on whatever setting they were last busy with. Disabling and reconnecting the hub usually solved the problem, but I'm not interested in constantly turning something on and off just to get basic functionality.
