Wifi stability issues

Updated: And they end up in the bin. Keeps losing wifi connection. Funny how long they lasted. Don't buy these pears. We currently have 8 of these in two separate rooms along with 3 plugs. In our bonus room, there are 4 lightbulbs in the same group, the plug is independent of the group, and the lightbulbs can be controlled independently in the app. In the daughter's room there are 4 lightbulbs and a socket. I have divided her into 4 different groups so she can better control her room. I should mention that we use the Eero Mesh network, which has 50 available WiFi slots. We bought these as a 'test' to see if we would like to raise the bar and get a Hud to control future lighting via a Zigbee signal. Most of the time they work fine, but several times over the past 6 months half of the bulbs (it seems the same 4) accidentally fell off the network and lost their grouping. Each time they are removed, they must be re-added and the group re-created. The best I can figure out is something with a wifi device and Alexa as I can still control the lights independently with the app but not with Alexa and not in a group. They certainly served our purpose, which is why we bought them. I wouldn't recommend them if you want to do more or solve your entire home lighting problem mainly due to WiFi stability issues.

Pros
  • remote control from anywhere. With the "Lepro LampUX" app on your phone, you can easily turn on/off, adjust brightness, change colors, create timers and much more as long as the light is connected to a Wi-Fi network. -Fi.
