Review on 🌬️ Davis Instruments - Windex 15 Suspension Bearing (3150) by Melissa Anderson

I bought this to replace an older, smaller Vindex on my 26ft sailboat. This device has its own base mount and therefore will not fit in the base mount of the smaller Windex. However, I was able to install it when my mast was down for the winter. The small Windex has a single wire arm that wraps around the post, but this device comes with two separate arms that have semi-circular curves and fit into the top bracket from different directions. However, it came with two left levers. I emailed the company about this, but instead of sending me the right hands, they sent me new tabs to install on my hands, which didn't solve the problem. I ended up bending only one of the arms into the correct configuration, but it's not perfectly aligned, so the arms aren't entirely symmetrical. It's still useful but it's a bit disappointing that they a) put the wrong parts in the package and b) sent me the wrong parts after I requested a replacement. I expect better.
