We had (stupidly) gotten into the habit of giving the kittens snackies shortly after getting up each weekday morning. but that led to them waking us up at the @ss-crack of dawn on the weekends in demand of snackies. We HAD TO break them of this habit PRONTO because we were tired of them banging on the mini blinds and pouncing across us to wake us up every weekend. We bought 2 of these feeders so we could set them to go off at 1 hour intervals and surprise the kitties with treats. At first they didn't notice them open because they're very quiet, so we moved them closer to the wall and the air return vent so the lids would bang on them when they opened. Now they listen for that noise and know it's treat time. and we get to SLEEP! WIN! I think they'll come in handy when we're going to be away from home for a few days as well. we'll be able to fill them with food, set the timer for a day or two out, and know that they'll have food for all the days we'll be gone.
