I just recently ordered my third hook stopper in two years. It works fine as long as you don't pull the cable in too far and push the stopper too hard and it doesn't fall apart. I have a 2000lb Warn winch. It's light enough to slide over the cable and feels strong enough to hold together. In winter I often use a winch when using my snow plow. I think the stopper should be able to stop a 2000lb winch. From now on I will make an extra effort not to lift the plow too high. If this new cork breaks, I'm done with it.
