Review on ERGOUP Adjustable Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair with Lumbar Support & Double Back Massage Design by Becky Maldonado

Production problem, no padding on the armrests, otherwise everything is fine.

Well, today I assembled a chair. The box looked torn and ruined, but the chair was fine (thank goodness). I took out additional tools and studied the instructions. Several problems occurred from START to FINISH. Although I now have a work chair, it's not perfect, but I can live with it. 1. The instructions say you need to attach the base to the chair. This was already done at the factory, so the step and parts listed were not present. 2. The three holes in the armrest were not properly threaded at the factory. It should cut the M6x1 thread, all the screws immediately seized and jammed in one of the threaded holes. I had to assemble the whole chair and then get a die and a set of taps to pierce the threads in the armrest! I put paper towels in but still got a small amount of cutting oil on the fabric braid (since I used a faucet to flatten the thread) which doesn't really come off (still discolored, it's probably forever, irritates me) though better than no support bolt due to poor manufacturing).3. literally an extra screw for each type listed. I wish they had just told me that, I was trying to figure out I was constantly getting it wrong as I moved forward and there was an extra bolt for each set! 4. There are no maximum torque values, although you may think it's stupid of me to want that, it's metal inserts in a plastic case, you can overdo it very easily. Max torque would tell me if I was over tightening or under tightening, some of these parts are over tightened like hell. I hope this is right. 5. Attaching the headrest is not intuitive, once you attach it you will notice that the height adjustment screws seem to be hidden in the clip on the rear rail. So adjust the height. You need to remove the entire headrest and then adjust it. .Of course if they just put the screws on the outside you could adjust them while someone is sitting in the chair and get feedback to set them right. If it's in place, you'll need to remove the headrest, adjust it, put it back on, then check and remove it again. For real? Also, one of the headrest's screw threads is damaged but still works (very difficult to insert the screw and engage the thread).6. It took me forever to figure out the tilt adjustment as the picture shows the height adjustment knob moving the other way to unlock and then tilt. It is not true. The only thing to do is unlock (pull OUT the adjustment knob, like a fireplace chimney to unlock, push back to lock), the rest is physical force, then lock again and the position will be locked. The first time I tried it the back didn't bounce, I figured I had to unlock it and go through the full range of motion then it started to push off properly. Similar to a manual car seat.7. Does the mesh stick to shirts and dresses, is it a little itchy? I might have to do something to him. I'm a big guy so the carrying capacity was critical, it seems pretty stable (don't be afraid of knocking over a chair or destroying a top hat). I need to find some fabric for the headrest and maybe the armrests. The armrests go up quite a bit (which I like), so that's a plus. All in all I think it was a good deal for a new chair given PRIME's free shipping. I'm used to the best but I know they cost over $1000 so I think it's as good as it gets for a home office chair. I asked for black mesh but they sent me a lighter color, well. The seat doesn't tip at all, so I always feel like they tip the bowl forward and down in this situation. I love that my seats recline slightly up and back. o prevent this feeling (like a bucket seat in a car). This is not possible with this model. I'll take it for a test drive now, I'll update if anything important happens. Overall it's better than what I've used, but not perfect. I assume you would pay a worker in an office to set up the chair by hand with screws and sliders and continually adjust it until the intended user was comfortable? Fine-tuning just isn't possible for one person without a lot of guessing and testing.
