Review on Saucony Mens Peregrine Sneaker Black Men's Shoes by Chris Durandis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great shoe with a constructive criticism of Saucony

First pair of Saucony shoes in a long time. I really liked: PROS: - perfect fit with the right trail feel (some cushioning, but not too much); - great traction! For running/hiking on rocky trails these cleats are very grippy. - Laces are good - sometimes plain is better and flat laces are usually better because the laces don't feel on top of the legs after they swell a little. CONS: - Outsole durability is an issue. I was going to order a second pair because I like them so much. However, the outsole lugs have gradually come loose - you can see that one "row" has failed and the second row is about to fail (the other shoe in this pair isn't broken, by the way). These photos were taken while running 60 miles, which is a little short of the 250 miles that I think running shoes should be good for. This might not be an issue if you're a small runner or use them on soft trails. I still like them enough to give 4 stars and I'll probably just try gluing them together (or if that doesn't work, cut off pieces to prevent further tearing).

Pros
  • comfortable item
Cons
  • infinitely slow
