I bought this for my 3, almost 4 year old daughter. I reviewed many other bikes before settling on this one. The main selling point was that it came with a manual rip standard. My eldest daughter almost had a horrible accident when she was 5 years old because a chain came off her bike on a hill and the brakes didn't work. Yes, I know she could put her feet up to stop, but at that moment she was too scared to think about it. Thank God our scream was heard by a stranger and intervened to stop her. The bike was well packed in a box with all the tools needed for assembly. The instructions were in broken English but the pictures were easy to follow. It took me 20-30 minutes to assemble, mostly because I had "help". My daughter loves the girly color and the ribbons on the steering wheel. I love the fact that there aren't any pictures of princesses, barbies or other characters who could fall out of favor and start whining about a new bike with their latest favorite character on it. Here are the cons: 1. The training wheels adjust very little to them, so you can't pick them off the ground once your child gets the hang of it. 2. The plastic fasteners on the basket aren't very strong, so plan on using something else to hold the basket up for a long time, e.g. B. Cable ties. 3. The bike comes from a factory in China, so it will take a little longer for delivery. UPDATE: My now 4 year old daughter has been riding this bike almost daily for over 3 months and we are still happy with it. We found it very strong and we only had to reattach the bell once and tighten all the screws. I was a little concerned that the training wheels weren't wide enough to keep the bike stable, but they seem fine. She has to work really hard to flip this bike. I am happy with this purchase and would buy this bike again.
