Black Handles 2007 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Review

These handrails fit my 08 jk perfectly. They are very durable, exceptionally well built. During installation remember that the top jamb or post has a slight angle to it and that angle goes to the handle. The rest is pretty clear. Buy them when you want something to last as long as your Jeep.

Excellent grips. The only problem is that once installed, the visit won't open/close without unloosening it and expanding about an inch to get past the handles. Even after reading the other warnings in the reviews, I also dropped the strut trim screw. Real flatbread out and the food back in its place. But I like them and I'm glad I have them.

Looks great and solid! Installation is easy, just the way you should attach the handles. Both types I've had are a bit picky. It was easier for me to start with the side first and then the top. Just leave them loose until they start and align before tightening and everything will go smoothly. Be careful with the window when using the tools. Incidentally, a 6 mm hexagon is required for this.

The seller quickly solved my problem with these pens (see below). The exchange went very well. It is very easy to install. Removing the factory screws took longer than installing the knobs. A little difficult to assemble with gaskets. Be very careful not to drop the grommets into the recessed hole on the side of the door frame. I made this mistake and it was incredibly difficult to get the gasket out of the gap and slide it all the way to the bottom of the door frame. The quality of these handrails is excellent! The installation is somewhat cumbersome due to the position and geometry. You should put some paper towels in the A-pillar before removing the factory bolts. I didn't do it on the first one and ended up removing the A-pillar to get the bolt. Also, freely install any new equipment, starting with what comes in the front rack. Once both bolts are loose, push the button and tighten both bolts evenly (like a tire). Very strong handrails and good workmanship. I like the matte finish, which makes it more comfortable to hold. They were very easy and quick to assemble. I would recommend using a washer on the head of the bolt that goes in the side of the grips. (Shims were not included in this kit as there were plenty on hand). This is a nice set of grips that outperform the nylon rope grips you usually see. They appear to be thick die-cast aluminum with some sort of coating. Not adonized, probably applied by dipping or spraying. A little QC could be used in the coating to get rid of burrs and the like. It's also slightly shiny. should be matte.
