Review on 🔪 GBC Paper Shredder EX12-05 (1757390): Efficient, Super Cross-Cut, 12 Sheet Capacity for Personal Use, Black/Silver by Sandro Pierce

Wow! Finally, a quality consumer shredder that doesn't cost a fortune. I previously had a Memorex shredder which did the job perfectly and lasted over 10 years. When he died I replaced him with this swingline and couldn't be happier. The shredder looks sharp, easily shreds a few documents, shreds a CD like it means nothing, and shreds a credit card so to speak. CDs and credit cards have special slots and are deposited in a separate small waste bin. The credit card was cut into several pieces - some small, some quite large. Overall it was unusable, but the name and most of the number survived. I had to redo this part. The document shredder is relatively quiet, but runs at a higher volume for a few seconds after the document shredding is complete. The paper basket has a window to check the level of shredded paper. Make sure to keep an eye on it as it hasn't stopped me from overstocking it. This caused torn paper to fall apart when trying to pull out the bin. The previous shredder had an automatic shut off when the basket was full. Apparently not this one. All in all a fantastic shredder, powerful and stylish.
