I'm a photographer and bought this to back up three other very old drives with connection issues. I paid a pro a bunch of $ to recover old data and put it on this drive, plugged it in, started working and within 45 minutes it was stuck and nothing could thaw it. I couldn't stop it, extract, etc. It just hung and made clicking noises. I spent about 2 months trying to get the sellers to honor the recovery plan I bought. (It was a nightmare!) Eventually it was sent and they apologized, I must have given the drive a "little knock on the head" and all data was lost forever. There was no beat; It was just a bad ride and I lost a lot of photos and money.
