Well I just received this product and I don't normally do a preview simply because with this product the real test comes with time. I've used a few similar products and over time they lose their firmness. It is the tension in the mechanism that allows the ring (or any other shape) to act as a stand. While this isn't a complete review, I wanted to point out an issue I immediately had with this product. I will precede this by saying that this is not a defect in the product as the packaging clearly states this limitation. I think it's rather a bad choice for the company that makes this product. The 3M adhesive pads provided with this product do not stick well to a variety of cases. In my case, specifically the Otterbox Defender Series case for the Iphone Xs Max. This case is made from a vinyl-like rubber material, and as I said Syncwire mentions on the packaging, I suspect it's not made for leather surfaces. Directly on your phone or in hard smooth cases, therefore, this problem will most likely not occur. The thing is Otterbox Defender cases are very popular and I always use them as they offer the best protection in my experience. I have also used other ring stand products and their 3M sticky pads worked great on Otterbox cases. So there may be a 3M solution that works for this case, so I'm not sure
