Review on Electric Aquarium Automatic Cleaning Adjustable by Tanya Meyers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works perfectly! DO NOT use unsupervised.

The thing works great. Excellent consumption and functional nozzles (except for the brush). It's a little bulky in the aquarium, but I expected that. I unplugged the brush head and replaced it with a 5/8 ID vinyl tube so I could get around my plants and rocks. Other nozzles connect directly to the hose when I need them. This got around the bulky motor issue in my planted tank, just make sure the motor is submerged. I just used it for a water change on my 55 and it worked very quickly and efficiently (all things considered). I used 2 buckets so I could take turns emptying and filling them. Came back while filling to find the hose had fallen out of the tank and was watering the carpet perfectly. I thought I had a glass lid holding it back, but no, it's completely my fault (stupidity). They turned off the pump in time and rushed in a panic for towels to wipe the floor. When I got back I found the bucket I was sucking from about to overflow. When I turned off the pump, the flow changed direction and started filling the bucket from the tank (again, my fault/stupidity). My mistakes aside, this thing performed better than expected. IMPORTANT NOTE. If you are using the black tubing that came with the kit, be aware that there are LOTS of black plastic particles (from the manufacturer) inside the tubing. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly several times. The only thing missing is a clamp to securely attach it to a tank or bucket.
