Okay I'm very upset that this was a used item that I bought at a brand new price. The box has visible damage right where you open it. The chord is too short to allow flexible placement, luckily I already have a 3ft chord. Originally I wanted to mount it on the windshield. But since there's also no cigarette lighter port, I can't use the port I wanted to use (my main port is in my center console and has a 6" chord for aux. for me to connect my phone to my radio via bluetooth to connect, a plug that I wanted to use for a phone charger, on the passenger side, just below the radio, which would allow me to mount it on the windshield without crossing the cable over the steering wheel), I'm quite suspicious in regarding durability. The bracket that secures the mount appears to be very fragile. I set it up the way I wanted it and when I put my phone down the weight pushed it down. I had to go up 2 steps to reach the starting position which I had with my phone on it. This worries me because the Z Fold 3 is by far the heaviest phone I've ever owned. I drive a lot on back roads and am concerned that some big bumps could completely damage the caliper. The fact that it has to be placed with the buttons down doesn't bother me at all, if I want to adjust the volume I just turn off the radio, which is what I do. However, the 5g antenna is on the side of the button. I don't think it will affect my signal, but I don't think it will help. And if I need to turn the screen off, I can swipe to the home screen and double-tap. The opening and closing mechanism works well, and aside from the placement compromise, it was very easy to set up. I will receive a partial refund for purchasing a used product as the brace appears to be weak in design. It's impossible to know if the previous owner ever raised or lowered them, which weakens them even more.
