I've had it for almost two years and use it regularly. It's much more than a pancake pan; We use it for both cooking and reheating flatbreads, cooking papus and gordita (the hottest temperature), grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas (3.5-4), pancakes, baking English muffins and crumpets. On the lowest setting, with a round ceramic casserole dish filled with water, it's a yoghurt maker. Warm it up over low heat and then turn it off and it's great for rising dough. The 12" Cal a Phon glass lid is perfect. The cooking surface is easy to wipe down with a clean damp cloth. I wouldn't use it for sausage, bacon or eggs - the outer rim isn't high enough to hold liquids and it no way to just drain the grease - but if there's any horror about being back in the dorm (where stoves were banned but other household appliances were out of the question) this and a bread machine would be my two main self-catering wishes.. It loses half a star due to the lack of a surface temperature readout, but here's the basic range for an instant-read thermometer: 1:250F/ 120C2:275F/135C3:325F/162C4:350F/175C5:375 Β°F / 190 Β°C
