I've been looking for a good WiFi power adapter that works with Linux for a long time. I bought a Netgear A6210 and was very disappointed that it doesn't work on Linux. Yes, there are people with git repositories with instructions on how to install drivers, but I've always had issues with disconnecting. I came across this product after looking for Revain. I was very skeptical about buying a product from a brand I had never heard of, but I took a chance because I received a quick response when I asked a question about Revain. When the adapter arrived I tried to install it from the CD that came with it. But it did not work. I searched the manufacturer's website and couldn't find any drivers for Linux. Finally, I contacted support for instructions on how to install the driver on Linux and received a quick response. I followed the instructions I received via email and was able to get the drivers working with no problems. I've been using this for about a month and am getting the advertised speeds. I am very happy with my purchase. The reason I gave this product 4 stars is because: - The drivers on the CD that came with it didn't work - I had to contact customer service for installation instructions. Drivers - there were no instructions for Linux on the manufacturer's website either. I would prefer to eliminate the manual customer service step in this whole process. Ideally, the drivers on the CD should work. I understand that it is difficult to update drivers by distributing them via CD. The next option would be to post the latest drivers and instructions on the manufacturer's website to make this whole process a little less stressful. stopped working. After a bit of googling I found that I had to edit the make command in the dkms.conf file in the /usr/src folder to include the kernel version and now DKMS is working as expected. I will contact the manufacturer with my findings so that they can solve the problem in advance. I wish they had a git repo so I could submit a quick pull request with my fix.
