Great but I wish it had a touchscreen interface

XP-15000 probably my 5th 13x19 photo printer. Most of the previous models I've used have been Epsons, although an HP or two have graced my home office. I work on a Mac as a graphic designer and avid photographer, and my wife is a freelance artist; So we needed high quality large format printing from home. In recent years, the ease of getting good images cheaply from the local office store has supplanted the need for a large format printer at home, so we have relied primarily on letter-size multifunction printers for home printing. Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 wireless wide format color printer. According to the ad, it's at least 30% smaller than any previous 13x19 I've had. The last HP I used was a beast and barely fit on my printer stand. The XP-15000 is compact enough to fit on a chair when needed. This is a big plus. However, 6 inks are used. I'm not sure how the cost of these products will change over the long term. Unboxing was pretty easy, but it takes time. From unpacking the printer to having it fully operational took me over an hour of focused work. The conversion will take some time. It arrived well and securely packaged and removing all the tape and padding before turning it on can be a chore. Starter ink is included and I'm not sure how long it will last. The cartridges are relatively easy to install. Epson offers samples of 3 different papers in addition to plain white paper, so you can start printing stunning photos right away. It's 8.5 x 11 sheets, so if you want 13 x 19, you'll need to splurge on quality paper. languages) you should be fine. Make sure the paper is loaded *face down* when printing on photo paper or you'll end up with a messy, fuzzy mess. It's my fault for not reading the instructions fully. However, it should be noted that when both photos and plain paper were loaded in the inner tray, the plain paper stuck to the photo paper and I was printing on two sheets instead of one. Keep your paper tray clean with the base material you plan to use. However, the XP-15000 prints very good borderless images on white office paper. However, it really shines on glossy photo paper. This is a quality printer that prints high quality photos, and it also does a pretty good job of rendering simple black and white text and other basic stuff when you want to print from the web or a word processor. I will say that I connected it to my house. It took some time for the Wi-Fi network to be set up and working properly. I don't use this connected printer so it only works on my network over Wi-Fi. Once everything was synced, I was able to print from my iPhone, my wife's MacBook Air, and my HP Envy laptop with no problems. Simply select your printer from the list of available printers and the drivers will be installed. Everything should work fine. The only thing I don't like about the Epson XP-15000 is that it uses a manual button interface instead of a touchscreen. The LED screen is quite small and not particularly easy to read. I have a much cheaper HP wireless all-in-one printer with a large touchscreen and therefore a very easy-to-use interface. Epson's reliance on directional keys for navigation seems fairly dated and old-fashioned, making simple tasks more difficult than they otherwise should be. This archaic method has been around for years, and while it still works, it no longer feels intuitive. Overall I am very impressed with the quality and enjoy working with the XP-15000. Once everything is set up and the printer is connected to your home Wi-Fi network, it's easy to choose and use. Just make sure the paper is loaded correctly. court
