Remote and buggy firmware updates

I like the streaming service. Don't like the support. The remote control that came with this new Ultra only has ten codes for JVC and Samsung TVs. Old remote controls have 50 codes each. Code 15 for JVC worked for these remotes. None of the ten remotes on the new remote work with either of my two JVC TVs. To make matters worse did they update the firmware on the devices and all three of my remotes had to be reprogrammed for their respective TVs. Only JVC works after reprogramming for volume and power control. Even a new Ultra connected to a Samsung TV couldn't be programmed to control the Samsung TV's volume or power with the new remote. But then the old remote could not work since the firmware update. Went to support and found out about the update and found there were thousands of cases where customers were unable to use Roku remotes to control volume or power after two known firmware updates. They won't let you revert to a previous firmware version, but instead want to know the make, model, serial number and more of your TV and device. Can't understand why a firmware update would be released unless you try it first to make sure it doesn't affect what was previously released. In addition to the issues updating the firmware, I had trouble connecting to one of my Ultra devices. It worked for an hour or two and then lost connection, my TV gave a no signal warning. I thought it was Ultra so I ordered a new one. I got this one and it worked for three hours and then the same problem happened. No connection. I used the Ultra during the downtime caused by that old Ultra kept losing connection, used from another room. It's been working fine for over a week, so I know it's not a TV, it's an Ultra. I received a replacement for a new one that I just ordered and received today. It worked for over six hours and apart from one remote issue it seems to be working fine. Had to use the original Ultra's remote which was starting to lose connection to control the TV's volume and power as the new remote for codes doesn't go to 15 but stops at 10 and then tells you they can't do that does your model TV work. I tried the new remote control with a Samsung TV, which still doesn't work with the old remote after a firmware update, and it doesn't work either. Again it stops on ten code attempts before a message says it doesn't work with your TV model. I get it. You have a product that works. You update the firmware of the product and it no longer works properly. You update the remote control and it no longer works properly. Why would a company intentionally "update" their product to remove the features they use in their ads to entice you to buy their product? Makes no sense, does it? that it does not work with your TV model. I get it. You have a product that works. You update the firmware of the product and it no longer works properly.
