I dropped the key fob from my old 2002 Dodge Durango and the top cracked. I did a temporary repair using superglue but knew I needed a replacement. So far I can't be happier. It feels like the plastic has gotten a little lighter so I'll update the review if durability changes. In general, installation is not difficult. You open your old bunch of keys. The key fob board MUST be functional as this is the case you are purchasing. A NOTICE. The same company sells an entire keychain for around $28-$30. You need a second working key fob to program a new one. In any case, once you open your old keychain, carefully remove its contents. There are two thin batteries, a thin plastic pad and the original unlock/lock/panic rubber pad on the Dodge key fob. Then carefully disconnect the battery clip from the old key fob. It is usually held in place by a tiny plastic pin that is part of the key fob's body. The next step is to insert the battery clip into the new key fob. Then insert the unlock/lock/panic button panel and then the thin plastic pad. Finally, insert the circuit board and batteries. The last step took a few minutes. I tried to be careful with the board and it fit the new rubber case very well. I connected the two halves of the new keychain together and it worked great. The new buttons are more rigid when pressed. It could also mean that the old pad was 18 years old and well broken in. It's a different feeling anyway, but I don't have to press more than once or very hard. The buttons are just harder to touch.
