Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice 2 205/50 R17 93T winter by Adam Worek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, good quality, not bad.

As soon as I changed my shoes, the car immediately began to "float" a little in comparison with a good summer one, it became necessary to microscopically steer even at low speeds of 40-60. Now I seem to be used to it, but maybe it's gone by itself. Now, in terms of management, it is perceived almost like summer. Although at a speed of 120 and above, light, not the most pleasant swimming is noticeable even now. (It can be compared as if gusts of wind of medium strength sometimes come from the right, then from the left. This was not the case with the summer one along the same routes). The rubber is quiet, I don't hear it at all, even when driving fast. Probably, if you listen closely, you can hear something, but to somehow annoy the sound from it, there is no such thing. And the sound that was in the summer when driving on some asphalts also disappeared (a sound similar to a buzzing, possibly when driving on asphalt made of large pebbles. There were such sections in the summer, I drive in the winter about the same place - there have never been such buzzing sections ). In comparison with the summer soft (probably like all winter ones). After changing shoes, the feeling that the sharp edges of the bumps became smooth. I won’t say anything about snow-ice, since there hasn’t been anything like that yet (Hong Kong, December 24). I read test reviews myself when I chose it - it seems that everything is fine here, it is the best among Velcro and overtakes some studs in terms of braking distance and handling. But there is no impression here yet. When I bought it, I bought it in an online store in Hong Kong, delivery to the warehouse of a transport company in Hong Kong cost 600. In comparison with prices in Hong Kong, it turned out to be noticeably cheaper in total. I add: in the snow of norms. On the highway, when the car touches the slurry with one side, it drives slightly, weaker than you expect (in general, it cuts puddles well, the car pulls a little towards the puddles-porridges when they pass). On snow on an uncleaned road, on arrivals and departures in snowdrifts - better than expected.

Pros
  • Soft, quiet, you can drive fast
Cons
  • Handling worse than summer
