This is a beautiful shaker and holds true does what it says on the tin... But like many other reviewers I found that after a little use the cap cannot be removed - it appears to be welded to the base.. No amount of twisting, twisting, pulling, coaxing, Knocking, researching online, hot water and ice combos, brute force, spinach, wrenches or tools will separate the top from the bottom.I ended up having to throw mine out because I couldn't refill it.I have the screw top plastic cap and it works like a charm.Not that pretty but at least I can refill it.
