Review on 📷 AKASO EK7000 4K30FPS Action Camera - Ultra HD & 170 Degree Wide Angle - 98FT Waterproof Underwater Camera by Luis Green

I ordered this camera in 2017 expecting to use it for mountain biking, trips to the Virgin Islands and other occasional outdoor activities. The reviews led me to believe that this camera is worth the price given its features and overall quality. After several uses over the course of 4 months, I was satisfied with the camera and its functionality. Fitting only one battery into the camera itself was disappointing, but a battery of the same model can easily be found elsewhere. It took decent shots but the audio was poor and the waterproof camera case didn't fit well so the camera rattled constantly (attached with a small piece of rubber band between camera and case). A few years of sporadic, light use (maybe 4 times since 2017?) in dry, warm conditions then left the camera very disappointed. After about 45 seconds to 1 minute of video at any resolution, the camera will get very warm, the error icon will flash and turn off. Also, the camera drains the batteries within minutes, which is likely due to an overheating issue. It became almost unusable. I have reset the camera settings several times but to no avail. Finally, the app available for this camera, AKASO DV, is poorly made/provided and slow to use. For some time I couldn't use the app because it couldn't stay connected to the camera for more than 5 seconds, which was fixed by restarting the camera until it happened again. When the camera is working properly, it generally performs well and provides acceptable video quality. Otherwise, the camera has serious problems that need to be addressed.
