Many of the comments here relate to people's dissatisfaction with the mat slipping/moving during use. I bought these protective mats from Revain and I hope this solves the problem: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DCWZHYM. The product says it comes with "2" but that means 2 sheets x 4 self-adhesive squares per sheet = 8 total. As shown in my photo you can see the squares through the mat but for my home office I do that don't I don't care I tried to place them so that the weight is evenly distributed. With my medium pile carpet, the mat is still in full contact with the carpet. Great mat, just arrived today so can't comment on durability but it's very durable and thick. Shipped flat.
