After learning that traditional smoke alarms don't wake children up well, we started experimenting. With our old "standard" fire alarms, the children didn't move at all. Very surprised, I bought one of these voice types to try. First, the alarm sound is a little different from our old alarm clocks, and the added voice is a nice feature. After trying the old alarm clock again with no movement, we tried the new alarm clock. They didn't wake up right away, but after about 10 seconds they started moving and opening their eyes. We bought five more to add around the house. Security cannot be priced. If you haven't tried waking your kids up with alarms already set, give it a try. You may be very surprised by what you see (or don't see).
